Join with other parishioners in serving our parish AND the community on Saturday, March 26, during Christ Care Day. All families are invited to participate as the day will include various age-appropriate tasks.
Our day starts with Mass at 8 a.m. (optional) in the church followed by grab-and-go breakfast in the Marquette Cafeteria (optional) and then three hours of service on campus from 9 a.m. to noon. Participants will sign up for the service project of their choice at check-in. Service projects include:
Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich making
Help us beat our fall total of 500 sandwiches for the Tulsa Day Center.
Cards for homebound parishioners
Create cards with messages of hope. All arts and crafts will be provided.
Assembling Backpacks of Hope for Little Lilies
The Little Lilies are a household of lay Catholic women who pray, serve, and live a common way of life together. They humbly serve those who are the most unloved and the forgotten of the flock in the Diocese of Tulsa. The created “Backpacks of Hope” will be given to the Little Lilies community to then be distributed to the homeless in Tulsa.
Parish clean up
From our pews to the hallways, there is no better way to serve your parish community than by helping take care of it. Volunteers will be tasked with various cleaning and maintenance needs on campus.
With all events taking place on the CTK campus, our parish will absorb the cost of supplies (items for Backpacks of Hope, sandwich making needs, etc.). For those unable to make the event in person or looking for charitable causes to support for almsgiving, a special "Christ Care Day" fund has been set up. Donate Here
