Our Catholic Leadership Series welcomes Lauren Gebhard, Senior Director of Family and Children Services (Little Light House) on April 20. Join us for lunch as she shares how her faith has played a role in her professional career.
The lunch is from noon to 1 p.m. in Fletcher Hall and is open to all women and men of the parish.
Lauren Gebhard completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Oklahoma State University (Go, Cowboys!!). Following that, she attended the University of Tulsa, where she earned her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology in 2013. Upon graduation, Lauren served as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Little Light House, on a transdisciplinary team. Lauren specializes in augmentative communication (AAC) and is a LAMP Certified Professional. She was integral in helping LLH become the first LAMP Center of Excellence in Oklahoma. She is trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding and has a passion for helping picky eaters and problem feeders learn and grow in their feeding skills and confidence around food. In 2020, Lauren left the classroom to serve as the Director of Therapy. With it being a COVID year, she learned a lot! In 2021, Lauren was selected as the Senior Director of Children and Family Services.
She adores the students at LLH and has a huge heart for the families and the mission of LLH, “to glorify God by improving the quality of life for children with special needs, their families, and the community.” Lauren leans heavily on the Lord and her husband, Eric. They have three children, Graham, Maggie, and Will, who have all attended Little Light House as peer models. They have been parishioners of Christ the King for 11 years.
